German Manager Magazine: Renault is selling significantly more cars again003034

The car manufacturer Renault sold significantly more cars last year compared to the weak previous year. The French sold 2.24 million vehicles worldwide in 2023, 9 percent more than in the previous year, as they announced on Wednesday in Boulogne-Billancourt near Paris. In 2022, delivery difficulties for individual parts such as electronic chips had a severe impact on sales.

When it comes to passenger cars, the group and all its brands (including Renault, Dacia, Alpine) achieved an increase of almost seven percent to 1.84 million cars worldwide. Sales of light commercial vehicles rose more sharply by a fifth to almost 398,000 vehicles. In 2024, Renault expects a stable overall market in Europe and Latin America.

In Europe, the company says it has gained market share with its parent brand Renault. This means that the brand with its cars and light commercial vehicles has climbed from fifth to second place in the market, it was said.
