Now that the federal government is no longer subsidizing the purchase of an electric car, more and more manufacturers are outdoing each other with discounts. Tesla lowered the prices for its Model Y again on Wednesday by up to 5,000 euros, but this time others are also following suit. Volkswagen’s ID.4 suddenly costs up to 7,735 euros less, a BYD Atto up to 7,015 euros and a Dacia Spring even 10,000 euros.
In view of this discount battle, who is still talking about the canceled “environmental bonus”? Volkswagen in particular wanted to keep prices high, but has no chance.
