Volvo dealers continue to be hit by new car delivery delays because of congestion at the port operations in Bristol.
The congestion is limiting the number of cars that can be processed and released from Zeebrugge.
Volvo has written to customers who are experiencing delays and is working with the port authorities, moving cars to other storage areas.
“We are working closely with our port operations, our central teams and local partners to alleviate the issue by moving cars to other storage areas, increasing deliveries out from port and also consolidating current space to enable further cars to arrive.
“This work is ongoing and because of this work we are able receive small shipments of vehicles and expedite the onward movement of these to our retail partners utilising increased levels of transport capacity.
“I understand this must be frustrating for yourself to hear repetitive updates with little specificity, but be assured this continues to be worked on as our highest priority with remaining delayed vehicles being scheduled through increased shipping schedules with our contracted partners.”
