The cost of restoring power to the Tesla-Factory in Grünheide after the attack is expected to cost more than one million euros, according to information from the German Press Agency.
The head of the regional network operator Edis, Alexander Montebaur, named this sum at a meeting of the Tesla Task Force last Wednesday in the Brandenburg State Chancellery. Montebaur is quoted as saying that the laborious restoration of supply was a great team effort by employees, partner companies and authorities.
Thousands of households damaged
Brandenburg’s Prime Minister Dietmar Woidke (62; SPD) described the attack as dangerous to thousands of households. “Without any scruples, not only the supply of a plant, but above all thousands of households, including health and social facilities, were damaged,” Woidke wrote to Edis. The head of government thanked people for restoring the power supply.
