The jobs at the insolvent auto supplier Eissmann will initially be retained. There are currently no plans to establish operations of Eissmann companies Germany The office of the insolvency administrator Holger Leichtle in Stuttgart announced. In an investor process that has been ongoing for several weeks, around 100 potential interested parties have been contacted. The response is positive.

Eissmann employs around 1,000 people in Germany. The largest plants are in Gera (405 employees), Pirna (285) and Bad Urach (258). The company filed for bankruptcy for its companies in Germany in March. Companies abroad are not affected by this. Eissmann employs around 5,000 people worldwide.

Insolvency proceedings opened at the beginning of May

At the beginning of May, the Tübingen district court opened insolvency proceedings for Eissmann Automotive Deutschland GmbH and two subsidiaries. Since then, wages have no longer been paid for by the insolvency money, but rather by the company. According to the insolvency administrator, business operations continue without restriction.

It is not yet possible to predict how long the process will take. “We are still relatively early in the process,” said a spokesman. The aim is to be able to give all production sites to one investor. We can only talk about a specific number of interested parties once binding offers have been made.

The Eissmann Group supplies German and international car manufacturers with components for vehicle interiors. The company was founded in 1964.
