Kia is to expand the number of dealerships offering rental business to 30 this year as it celebrates 10 years in business.
Kia Rental was launched in June 2014 with dealerships offering car rental for business and private users directly from a Kia dealership, initially offered at 10 sites dotted across the UK.
There are now 28 UK locations offering a 1,400-vehicle rental fleet.
Kia launched a rental app in October 2022, offering a booking portal with the final few steps completed at the dealership.
Kia Rental can also be booked by calling the rental location directly, online or using the dedicated Kia Rental app, ensuring the service is accessible to as many people as possible.
Every Kia Rental location offers rental of two EVs. This allows a customer to book an electric car and test it out over a longer period of time, when compared to a traditional test drive from the dealership.
Should the customer go on to buy a Kia, the rental cost is refunded. Customers can book by the day, week or month.
John Hargreaves, General Manager for Fleet and Remarketing at Kia UK, said: “When Kia Rental was launched 10 years ago, the world was a very different place, but by moving with the times we have seen the service grow year-on-year.”
