Central Car Auctions welcomes dealers back to in person sales

Central Car Auctions has brought back physical drive through auctions to their Glasgow site for the first time in four years.

In-person events were paused during the pandemic with digital auctions taking their place.

The first auction took place on 19 June. All vehicles are graded using the industry-recognised NAMA standards.

As well as being able to explore the vehicles on site, each one is documented on the Central Car Auctions website with high-quality imagery, allowing buyers to examine vehicles in detail before making an offer.

Jason Miller, managing director at Central Car Auctions, said: “While technology has allowed us to reach dealers all over the country, our employees are always happy to meet customers and make that connection so they can help them find exactly what they need and go into an auction with added confidence.

“Thousands of vehicles pass through Central Car Auctions every week, and we’re looking forward to welcoming more people through our doors so they can see first-hand the quality, variety and volume we have on offer.’

Founded in Glasgow in 1965, Central Car Auctions has been undergoing an expansion in recent years with new sites opening in Newcastle and Stafford. The latest addition in Lingfield, opened in June 2024.
