Top manager at Volkswagen should no longer be entitled to one in the future Porsche have as a company car. A company spokesman confirmed that ordering Porsche vehicles has no longer been possible since the beginning of the year. Previously, managers were entitled to at least two vehicles and were largely free to choose between the group’s models. The “Bild” newspaper first reported on the change. Accordingly, those affected have already sued the labor court in Braunschweig against the cancellation of their previous company car privileges.

According to information from the German Press Agency, around 200 employees will be affected by the loss of the Porsche company car privilege. Volkswagen recently launched an efficiency and savings program. According to previous information, this year it will bring an improvement in earnings of four billion euros, then seven billion euros in 2025 and ten billion euros per year from 2026. The company spokesman did not say how much savings would result from the Porsche ban.

However, Porsche is still allowed to be driven as a company car in the VW Group by a small group of people: According to “Bild”, Porsche managers and company board members retain the company car privilege.
