Ionna, a Torrance, CA-based provider of an EV charging network, received an investment from Toyota Motor North America (Toyota).
The amount of the deal was not disclosed.
The company intends to use the funds for the build out of its charging network for battery electric vehicles (BEVs) across North America.
Led by CEO Seth Cutler, Ionna aims to make EV charging accessible, reliable, and convenient by developing and deploying a nationwide network of stations with technology, retail integration, amenities, and customer service. It enables urban and long-distance EV mobility for all with over 30,000 charging points by 2030.
Ionna is a rising joint venture founded by now eight of the world’s biggest automakers, BMW, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes-Benz, Stellantis and Toyota.
