Mercedes-Benz appoints Nadia Trimmel as Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Mercedes-Benz Cars Malaysia & SEA II

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia announces a new senior leadership appointment to steer its marketing and sales operations. Effective 1st July 2024, Nadia Trimmel joins as Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Mercedes-Benz Cars Malaysia & SEA II.

Trimmel joined Mercedes-Benz in 2014 as General Manager Sales and assumed the role of Managing Director Mercedes-Benz Vans South Africa two and half years later. Trimmel has played a pivotal role in the company and served as an integral member of the Mercedes-Benz South Africa Executive Committee since 2017.

Trimmel holds a bachelor’s degree Marketing and Economics from the University of the Witwatersrand and an MBA from Manchester Metropolitan University. With a career in the automotive industry spanning nearly 25 years, including key roles within marketing, sales and aftersales at Ford and Nissan, Trimmel was instrumental to the success of the Van division and an integral part of the executive leadership team of Mercedes-Benz South Africa.

Trimmel has expertly guided the Mercedes-Benz Vans business operations and driven the success of numerous strategic initiatives, product advancements, and process optimisations during her tenure in South Africa. Notably, she spearheaded the transition of the first market, South Africa, to the Retail of the Future model with private vans in 2018.
 
Focusing on key performance outcomes, Trimmel has established and refined the drivers of success. Her strategic optimisation of resources has been central to achieving targeted sales and financial objectives. Trimmel’s leadership is marked by a commitment to fostering a cohesive team environment and meeting high performance goals that contribute to sustainable business growth.

Trimmel’s appointment comes into effect as the previous incumbent, Bettina Plangger, will take on a Strategic Project assignment within Region Overseas in Stuttgart, Germany.
