Mercedes-Benz India today unveiled two highly anticipated additions to its top-end vehicle lineup: the Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupé and the CLE 300 Cabriolet AMG Line. The launch event, held in Pune, showcased the German automaker’s commitment to bringing cutting-edge performance and luxurious lifestyle vehicles to the Indian market.
The Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupé marks a significant milestone as the first AMG model in India to feature the legendary ‘One Man, One Engine’ philosophy. This handcrafted exclusivity, straight from Affalterbach, Germany, brings Formula 1-derived technology to Indian roads. The SUV Coupé boasts a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, the most powerful in its segment, delivering an impressive 421 hp and 500 Nm of torque.

The CLE 300 Cabriolet AMG Line, on the other hand, adds a touch of elegance to Mercedes-Benz’s convertible offerings. This stylish four-seater combines timeless design with modern technology, featuring an acoustic fabric soft top that can be opened or closed in just 20 seconds at speeds up to 60 km/h. The cabriolet is equipped with a 2.0-liter inline-4 turbocharged engine, complemented by a 48-volt mild hybrid system for enhanced performance and efficiency.
Both vehicles come loaded with advanced features, including the latest generation of the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) infotainment system, AMG-specific displays for the GLC 43, and innovative comfort features like AIRCAP and AIRSCARF for the CLE Cabriolet.
In addition to the product launches, Mercedes-Benz India announced the introduction of its ‘Mobility to Delight’ customer initiative. This program aims to provide seamless mobility solutions to customers while their vehicles are being serviced, offering courtesy vehicles for extended service periods.
The launch event also saw the inauguration of one of Mercedes-Benz’s largest luxury facilities in India. Located in Pune and spanning 80,000 square feet, the new showroom is operated in partnership with B U Bhandari, Mercedes-Benz’s long-standing partner of 15 years. This state-of-the-art facility features various consultation spaces, a sample studio, and an exclusive lounge for VIP customers, embodying the brand’s commitment to providing immersive luxury experiences.
Looking ahead, Mercedes-Benz India plans to transform 25 facilities to international standards in 2024, further enhancing its retail presence across the country. The company also announced the upcoming launch of the opulent EQS Maybach SUV, scheduled for September 5, 2024, signaling its continued focus on the luxury electric vehicle segment.
With these launches and initiatives, Mercedes-Benz reaffirms its position as India’s leading luxury carmaker, having achieved its highest fiscal sales ever in FY 2023-24 with 18,123 units sold.
