Renesas Showcases India-focused semiconductor solutions at electronica India 2024

Renesas Electronics Corporation a supplier of semiconductor solutions, is showcasing technologies designed for the Indian market at electronica India 2024, taking place at the India Exposition Mart Limited (IEML) from September 11 to 13. Renesas is participating as a principal partner of the event.

The company is presenting a variety of solutions for industrial, automotive, and consumer applications. These include edge-AI solutions for robotics, face recognition, and real-time motor failure detection. Renesas is also introducing India-focused cluster solutions, such as connected cluster solutions for two-wheelers, Android cluster solutions for electric vehicles (EVs), and cost-effective cluster solutions for e-bikes. 

Renesas is offering metering solutions tailored to the Indian market, including electricity meters (1-phase and 3-phase) and water meter solutions. Additionally, the company is featuring turnkey solutions to help accelerate time-to-market for Indian customers, with offerings such as motor control, building automation, voice, and human-machine interface (HMI) solutions. Renesas is also showcasing power solutions that leverage its portfolio of power management integrated circuits (ICs) and discrete devices, including gallium nitride (GaN) technology. 

The company’s wireless connectivity solutions include WiFi, Bluetooth, and NFC, which work in conjunction with Renesas microcontrollers (MCUs) and microprocessors (MPUs). Furthermore, Renesas is highlighting the Altium Designer, a widely-used electronics development software that supports schematics, layout, simulation, and analysis, as well as Altium 365, a cloud platform that integrates design, component supply, and manufacturing.

Malini Narayanamoorthi, Country Head of Renesas India, stated that electronica India 2024 offers an opportunity to showcase the company’s solutions tailored to the Indian market. She emphasized Renesas’ focus on addressing local needs while contributing to global innovation. The company is also expanding its engineering team in India and is looking forward to collaborating with industry leaders.

Renesas CEO Hidetoshi Shibata delivered a keynote at SEMICON India, co-located with electronica India. In addition, Renesas representatives are participating in multiple sessions during the event. Vivek Bhan, Senior Vice President and General Manager of High-Performance Computing, gave a keynote at the e-Mobility Conference, followed by a panel discussion moderated by Malini Narayanamoorthi. Later in the day, Srikanth Nagarajan, Senior Director and Head of India Sales and Marketing, participated in a panel discussion at the e-Future Conference.
