WSG webinar series to help dealers tackle market challenges

Warranty Solutions Group (WSG) will launch a series of 20-30 minute webinars, featuring a panel of dealer guests and a host from WSG. Quattro Tech Cars, Romans of St Albans and Newtown Motors will feature in the first webinar.

The aim of the webinars is to share insights, strategies and tips to support dealerships in tackling challenges. The webinars will cover a range of subjects including cost saving initiatives, marketing, legal issues and enhancing the customer experience.

Steph Newbery, WSG’s group marketing director, said: “Using a reputable warranty provider instead of an administrative scheme shifts the risk, significantly lowering the chance of large warranty claims eroding profit and impacting cash flow.

“What’s more, if a dealer upsells to longer terms, they could either reduce their warranty costs or, depending on the success of their upselling strategy, eliminate them entirely.

“Additionally, this approach can even generate a healthy profit. In fact, many of our dealers have increased their profit per vehicle by as much as 25% through upselling extended warranties alone.

“We’re very excited to be launching our first webinar, which explores all of this in more detail and reveals the powerful strategies that dealers can use to significantly increase their bottom lines.”

The first webinar, ‘Upselling Warranties, will be available from 11am on 9 December 2024. It is free to all UK dealers.

Special guests for this discussion are Chris Hervey Murray (head of Quattro Tech Cars), David Shore (sales manager, Romans of St Albans) and Tom Davies (director, Newtown Motors).

This session will explore key risks facing dealers using self-funded warranty admin schemes and how businesses can protect themselves from large repair bills consuming cashflow.

In addition, panellists will share the real-life upselling strategies they have used to increase their profits and will discuss how dealers can drive customer satisfaction and profits with an upselling training programme for sales teams.
