Audi-Innovation board member Geoffrey Bouquot will also take over the development department at the Ingolstadt-based car manufacturer. The former head of technology at the French automotive supplier Valeo has been on the Audi board since June and heads the newly created department for innovation and software.

At the turn of the year, as part of its restructuring, Audi is introducing a new organizational structure with fewer interfaces, leaner committees and a clearer allocation of responsibility. “Now is the right time to hand over responsibility for technical development into the hands of Geoffrey Bouquot,” says CEO Gernot Döllner (55). Bouquot provided important impulses and more than confirmed the trust placed in him. The technical development and innovation/software-defined vehicle departments would be merged under his leadership.
