Geotab and Daimler Truck North America advance OEM integration partnership

Geotab, a provider of connected transportation solutions, has expanded its OEM integration with Daimer Truck North America, notably through Daimler Truck’s brand, Freightliner. This enhancement includes support for trucks under the brand equipped with Cummins Powertrains, with the companies aiming to help fleets streamline their operations through efficient access to critical vehicle data and actionable insights.

Building on Geotab’s initial integration with Freightliner, this latest advancement is similarly focused on supporting fleets by helping them tackle key industry challenges by providing access to this data through the MyGeotab fleet management platform. Through these insights, Geotab and Freightliner are ultimately looking to help operators make data-driven decisions that can in turn optimize costs and boost sustainability, while enhancing safety and productivity.

Through this new development, Geotab is looking to underline its commitment to innovating and partnering alongside OEMs like Freightliner. While detailing the scope of the partnership, Geotab also highlighted the capabilities of its factory-installed Connected Truck Platform that can be used to active telematics OTA without the need for a separate hardware device. For fleet operators, this can save time, reduce costs, and ensure seamless access to vital data.
