The Automotive supplier Bohei Trimet, based in Harzgerode (Harz district), has filed for bankruptcy. As the district court of Halle (Saale) announced, all four companies of the company are affected by the bankruptcy.
According to the preliminary insolvency administrator Olaf Spiekermann, 580 employees are employed at the locations in Harzgerode, in Sömmerda in Thuringia there are 98. Germany and Italy.
“It is now the most important task to keep production stable and to meet all delivery obligations,” said Spiekermann. The first positive signals already exist. The aim is to preserve the works at the locations in Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia in the market environment currently very difficult for the automotive industry.
Bohai Trimet had already painted positions last October. The company belongs to the Chinese group Bohai Automotive Systems.
