Smart energy specialist SolarEdge Technologies has formed a strategic partnership with automotive supplier Schaeffler to deploy EV charging infrastructure and software across Schaeffler sites.
Schaeffler plans to deploy some 2,300 charging points at company locations in Europe, for the use of its employees and fleet vehicle drivers. The charging sites will incorporate SolarEdge’s Wevo technology, part of its ONE for C&I energy optimization platform, beginning with the newly electrified parking lot at Schaeffler’s Technology Center at its global headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Germany.
“Our solar technology has powered Schaeffler rooftops with safe, reliable energy for many years,” said Naama Ohana, Chief of the Commercial & Industrial Division at SolarEdge. “Now, our Enterprise Service Group is proud to further support Schaeffler’s energy transition by delivering EV charging software, services and hardware.”
