Minda Corporation Q1 Net Profit Rises 1.7% to; Revenue Up 16.2% YoY

Minda Corporation Ltd reported a 1.7% year-on-year (YoY) rise in consolidated net profit to ₹65 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2025, driven by robust sales growth despite margin pressures. Revenue climbed 16.2% YoY to ₹1,386 crore, the company’s highest-ever quarterly turnover, supported by product premiumisation, an expanding customer base, and a strong order book.

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) stood at ₹156 crore, up 18.6% YoY, with margins improving by 23 basis points to 11.3%. Profit before tax fell 16.2% to ₹71 crore, with margins contracting by 198 bps to 5.1%, impacted by higher input and operational costs.

Sequentially, revenue grew 4.9%, while PAT jumped 25.5% from ₹52 crore in Q4 FY25.

During the quarter, Minda Corp entered into a joint venture with Japan’s Toyodenso to manufacture and sell advanced automotive switches in India. The company will hold a 60% stake in the greenfield project in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, which is expected to begin operations in the second half of FY2026–27. Orders from Indian customers have already been secured.

The company also announced a collaboration with Qualcomm to co-develop smart cockpit solutions, leveraging the Snapdragon® Cockpit Platform to create connected, intelligent in-vehicle experiences.

Chairman and Group CEO Ashok Minda said the quarter saw resilient demand across key vehicle segments. The company plans to expand market reach, boost exports, and sustain growth through operational excellence, technology integration, and R&D investments.
