Sonalika Tractors has reported its highest monthly sales figure, with 20,786 tractors sold in September 2025. The performance represents a significant milestone for the company, which attributes the growth to strong domestic market conditions and favorable policy changes.
The sales surge coincides with the company’s “Heavy Duty Dhamaka” promotional campaign, launched in August 2025, and follows the central government’s decision to reduce the Goods and Services Tax (GST) on tractors from 12% to 5%. Industry analysts suggest the tax reduction has improved affordability and boosted buyer confidence among farmers.
Raman Mittal, Joint Managing Director of International Tractors Limited, acknowledged the achievement in a statement. “We have proudly clocked our highest ever monthly sales of 20,786 tractors in September ’25,” Mittal said, crediting the milestone to India’s farming community and favorable market conditions.
The company noted that an extended monsoon season contributed to increased demand, with farmers showing greater willingness to invest in new agricultural equipment. Sonalika, which markets itself as India’s leading tractor export brand, operates what it describes as the world’s largest integrated tractor manufacturing facility.
The September figures reflect broader trends in India’s agricultural machinery sector, where government incentives and improved weather patterns have supported sales growth. The festive season, traditionally a peak period for tractor purchases in India, may further influence sales performance in the coming months.
Sonalika has emphasized its focus on delivering technology-driven tractors designed for various regional soil conditions across India. The company maintains that its supply chain capabilities enable consistent product delivery despite high demand periods.
