ECMA Concludes 16th International Conference on Emission Control Technologies in New Delhi

The Emission Controls Manufacturers Association (ECMA) successfully concluded its 16th International Conference on “Driving Innovations in Emission Control for a Sustainable Tomorrow” at Hotel Taj Vivanta, Dwarka, on October 7-8, 2025.

The conference drew participation from over 360 delegates representing government agencies, industry leaders, original equipment manufacturers, emission system suppliers, test agencies, and NGOs from India and overseas.

Dr. Virinder Sharma, Member (Technical) of the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM), Government of India, served as Chief Guest and commended ECMA’s efforts in organizing the international forum. Mr. K. C. Sharma, Advisor (Transport) at the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), attended as Guest of Honour.

The technical program comprised nine keynote addresses and 29 technical papers delivered across 10 sessions. Topics covered Euro 7 and global regulatory developments, emission control technologies for light-duty, heavy-duty, and off-road vehicles, hybrid powertrain opportunities, and implementation challenges for stricter emission norms.

A panel discussion titled “BS7, TREM-V and Other Forthcoming Emission Regulations in India – Challenges and Path Forward” generated significant interest among participants, addressing the regulatory landscape and technical hurdles facing the industry.

Seven exhibitors showcased advanced emission control products and technologies through dedicated booth stalls, facilitating networking and knowledge exchange among attendees.

ECMA also released a Technical Bulletin containing 15 articles covering various aspects of emission control and pollution reduction technologies.

The association acknowledged contributions from its international sister organizations, the Manufacturers of Emission Controls Association (MECA) from the United States and the Association for Emissions Control by Catalyst (AECC) from Europe, as well as various supporting agencies and partners.

ECMA expressed appreciation to all speakers, delegates, exhibitors, endorsement partners, and supporters for their contributions to the conference’s success and announced plans for the next edition of the ECT Conference.
