PSA sells ex-management used cars through PSA Direct

PSA has launched a used car programme selling ex-management Peugeot, Citroen and DS cars.

The PSA Direct programme, successfully piloted in 2017, will offer a centrally advertised pool of cars and allow the customer to choose their dealer of choice.

PSA said the programme will give dealers access to a wider range of specifications and engines to ensure they meet the specific needs of the customer.

Initially, the cars will be promoted on Auto Trader, at which point the customer can request that a specific car is delivered to their local or preferred dealer in five days, either by telephone or email.

The cars will have a minimum of two years’ of warranty, come with roadside assistance and be branded with the Direct hologram.

Paul Jackson, manager, used vehicle retail sales development at Groupe PSA, said: “The Direct used car programme, which proved highly successful at pilot stage, brings new levels of choice and convenience for our customers, combining the efficiency of online retail with the personal touch of a face-to-face appointment with our dealers.

“Direct removes the stress of buying a used car, catering for a generation of increasingly digitally native customers by putting a highly desirable range of Peugeot, Citroën and DS vehicles in their reach.

“For our valued retail partners, Direct demonstrates our commitment to supporting them during a period of high demand for used cars, with increased access to high quality examples of our award-winning models set to bolster their geographical competitiveness.”
