Wolfgang Porsche married his partner Gabriela zu Leiningen (62). The 82-year-old Porsche supervisory board chairman and the doctor of law got married in a private ceremony in Salzburg, their media lawyer Christian Schertz (59) confirmed to the German Press Agency. Porsche filed for divorce from his wife Claudia (77) in spring 2023 after around four years of marriage; this is now his fourth marriage.
Born in Stuttgart, Porsche lived during his childhood in Zell am See in Austria, on the farm of his grandfather Ferdinand, who as a designer laid the foundations of today’s empire. Wolfgang Porsche was five years old when his father “Ferry” brought the first Porsche sports car, the 356, onto the market – the forerunner of the legendary 911.
Gabriela zu Leiningen also has an eventful past: She is the daughter of entrepreneur Renate Thyssen-Henne (86) and was once married to Karim Aga Khan IV (deceased), the head of the Ismaili religious community. The two were considered the dream couple of the international jet set at the end of the 90s. After the divorce, she took back the name from her previous marriage to Karl-Emich Prinz zu Leiningen (73) in 2014.
Porsche recently caused a stir with a controversial construction project in the center of the Austrian city of Salzburg. The chief controller of Porsche AG and Porsche SE would like to build exclusive access to his villa on the Kapuzinerberg in the form of a 500 meter long private tunnel through the mountain. So far, only a narrow driveway that is often icy in winter leads to the villa. The head of the Porsche family has the historic Paschinger-Schlössl in October 2020 acquired for 8.4 million euros
