Cummins India Unveils Next-Generation Power Solutions at EXCON 2025

Cummins India has presented its latest power technology portfolio at CII EXCON 2025, featuring a new 82.5 kVA genset that meets CPCBIV+ emission standards. The company also displayed advanced diesel and hydrogen internal combustion engines alongside emission control technologies.

The newly introduced genset targets quick-commerce operations, construction sites, and mining facilities. According to the company, the unit offers reduced size, improved fuel efficiency, and lower noise levels compared to previous models. It represents an updated version of the CPCBIV+ compliant portfolio initially launched in 2023.

Shveta Arya, Managing Director of Cummins India Limited, noted the company’s six-decade presence in the country’s industrial sector. The exhibition showcases technologies manufactured domestically for both Indian and international markets.

The displayed portfolio includes multiple engine platforms. The QSB4.5 diesel engine delivers between 121 and 173 horsepower for excavators and loaders. The L10 engine, a 10-liter unit built on what the company describes as a fuel-agnostic platform, has been fully localized for Indian production.

For heavy-duty applications, Cummins presented the M15 diesel engine, producing 500 to 600 horsepower for large mining trucks and excavators exceeding 80 tons. The company also featured its B6.7H hydrogen internal combustion engine, which generates up to 290 horsepower while producing zero carbon emissions.

The exhibition included a demonstration of the company’s 9-inch Single Module aftertreatment system. The technology removes over 99 percent of particulate matter and incorporates more than 70 percent locally manufactured components. The system enables equipment to comply with CEV BS IV and BS V emission standards.

Cummins India operates through twelve entities in the region, employing over 10,000 people across manufacturing plants, assembly facilities, and distribution centers. The company produces engines, transmissions, fuel systems, and electrified power solutions for commercial vehicles and industrial applications.
