Steer Automotive buys Cambridgeshire bodyshop from Marshall

Steer Automotive Group has acquired Marshall Motor Group’s Paint & Body Centre in Swavesey, Cambridgeshire.

The business strengthens Steer’s national Prestige network and will be rebranded to Steer Prestige Cambridge.

The business has approval from a raft of OEMs, including those of Jaguar Land Rover, Volkswagen Group, Volvo and Stellantis.

Richard Steer, chief executive of Steer Automotive Group, said: “Marshall Motor Group’s Paint & Body Centre Swavesey is a fantastic addition to our growing prestige repair network.

“It demonstrates our commitment to invest in our people and manufacturer approval programmes, ensuring that we deliver repair capacity that is aligned to our client and customer’s requirements.”

Steer Automotive Group has been expanding. It hit the acquisition trail in November with the purchase of Lloyds Autobody, a luxury vehicle repair specialist with operations in Liverpool and Manchester.

And in April last year it acquired React Accident Repair Group’s two bodyshops trading as Paint & Bodyshop Hull and React Accident Repair Scunthorpe.
