Maruti Suzuki Reports Record Monthly Sales of 236,963 Units in January 2026

Maruti Suzuki India Limited announced its highest-ever monthly sales volume for January 2026, with total sales reaching 236,963 units. The milestone represents significant growth compared to the 212,251 units sold in January 2025.

The sales breakdown shows domestic sales of 178,300 units, sales to other original equipment manufacturers (OEM) of 7,643 units, and exports of 51,020 units. Notably, the company achieved an all-time monthly high in exports, marking a substantial increase from the 27,100 units exported in January 2025.

Within the domestic market, utility vehicles emerged as a strong performer, with 75,609 units sold in January 2026 compared to 65,093 units in the same month last year. The utility vehicle segment includes models such as Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, Victoris, and XL6.

The compact segment, comprising popular models like Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Swift, and WagonR, recorded sales of 72,738 units. The mini segment, which includes Alto and S-Presso, sold 14,268 units during the month.

For the April-January period of fiscal year 2025-26, Maruti Suzuki’s total domestic sales including light commercial vehicles reached 1,528,146 units, up from 1,478,624 units in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year. Total exports for the ten-month period stood at 361,579 units, compared to 274,596 units in the previous year.

The company’s light commercial vehicle Super Carry sold 3,771 units in January 2026, while the Eeco van recorded sales of 11,914 units during the month.

Total cumulative sales from April 2025 to January 2026 reached 1,983,467 units across all segments and markets, reflecting continued demand for the automaker’s product portfolio in both domestic and international markets.
