In addition to the Vito van, the Mercedes C-Class should also be affected by the exhaust fumes
The allegations of fraud against the Daimler Group in the diesel scandal harden according to a report of the “time”. Both the van Vito as well as the C-class is in traffic to the exhaust gas cleaning insufficient urea solution, so-called AdBlue, injected, the newspaper reported on Wednesday, citing the authorities. The agent filters harmful nitrogen oxides from the exhaust gases in the catalytic converter.

The Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt (KBA) had on 23 May the recall of around 5000 vehicles of the Mercedes -Vans Vito with 1.6-liter engine of emission class Euro 6 arranged for inadmissible defeat devices, Daimler announced opposition. It is currently being examined in how many Daimler vehicles the technology could still be installed.
Federal Transport Minister Andreas Scheuer (CSU) had met Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche at the end of May and one 14-day deadline to clarify the allegations. “I expect clear messages from the Executive Committee and a clean table,” he told the “Passauer Neue Presse” on Wednesday. But Daimler is working very hard on a solution to the technical problems.
