Smart charging solution provider NewMotion, which currently has more than 30,000 private charge points across the Netherlands, Germany, France and the UK, is expanding further into Europe in a new partnership with vehicle leasing firm Arval.
Norway will be the next country to join NewMotion’s empire, followed by another four European countries in the second quarter of this year. Combined with an open roaming agreement, NewMotion customers currently have access to over 70,000 EV charge points across 25 countries.
In the UK, NewMotion has been selected by the Southampton City Council to install 30 charging points in five multistory parking facilities as part of the council’s Clean Air Strategy (Southampton recently earned the dubious honor of being included in the World Health Organisation’s list of 40 UK cities with damaging levels of air pollution).
NewMotion recently added CFO Marit Eshuis, COO Claire Scott and interim CCO Herman Keijsers to its management team.
“This expansion aligns with our longer-term growth plans and demonstrates the huge investment we have already made towards creating innovative, customer-centric smart charging solutions,” said Sytse Zuidema, CEO, NewMotion.”
