I In the wake of the diesel scandal, Mainz has sent initial decommissioning orders to car owners who did not have the prescribed software update installed. Affected are vehicle types such as VW Amarok, Audi Avant, VW Golf and Passat, Seat Leon or Skoda Superb and Yeti. For seven diesel owners, a so-called hearing procedure is still underway, in which the authorities examine the circumstances in each individual case.

Also other cities in Rhineland-Palatinate follow suit. Thus 15 decommissioning orders for vehicles of the brands VW, Audi and Skoda adopted. Also in Ludwigshafen appropriate procedures run. However, the city could give no information on their number.
