Yorkshire-based Riverside Motor Group has acquired Harratts Volvo in Wakefield for an undisclosed sum.
The new business complements Riverside’s two existing Volvo dealerships in Doncaster and Hull. Riverside has represented the brand since1982.
The Hull dealership won Volvo UK’s Dealer of the Year Award 2009, 2011 and 2013 while the Doncaster business took the accolade in 2012.
Mark Denton, managing director at Riverside, said: “The acquisition expands our Volvo footprint into West Yorkshire, giving us greater access to the M1/M62 corridor and enabling us to develop the Volvo brand even further throughout Yorkshire.”
