Have we mentioned the carbon yet? Noble – long-time purveyors of rather sublime to drive supercars – has confirmed that a British Racing Green, carbon-fibre M600 will make an appearance at the London Motor Show. It is called the M600 CarbonSport.
And as the name suggests, it features dashes of carbon fibre throughout. Exposed carbon fibre, including things like the centre console, door cards, gear knob, and even the lightweight CF seats – bespoke fitted items.
You will want them bespoke, because the M600 CarbonSport remains a monster of a thing. There’s still the Yamaha-designed 4.4-litre twin turbo V8, now pumping out a solid 662bhp (a wee increase over the 650bhp of old), and it’s still a featherweight by any measure: 1,198kg dry.
Which means the 0-60mph sprint is seen off in 3.5s, while flat out, you’re looking at the thick, scary, carbon-fibre end of 225mph. It is, in short, one of the world’s very fastest cars. Good to fang about in too, as we have discovered on a few joyous occasions.
And thus, we couldn’t deny you this opportunity to remind yourself that a) Noble is still making the bespoke M600, and b) it’s still stupidly fast. Oh, and c) there’s lot of carbon.
