The German citizen had used a train without a ticket and was from the District Court Cottbus was convicted in March 2017 with a fine of 30 daily sentences in the amount of 30 euros, the Federal Police reports. The man had not paid for this punishment, and instead of the fine, the prison sentence of 30 days imposed by the district court came into force.

The public prosecutor’s office Cottbus issued therefore in December 2018 an arrest warrant against the fugitive man, which could be enforced by the federal police Münster now after the arrest at 0.10 o’clock. The man is now sitting in the Münster prison for 30 days.
