Tauro Spider V8 makes Goodwood debut – Autocar

The Tauro Spider V8 has made its first appearance on British soil at the 2013 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The model took part in the Michelin Supercar Run, and will continue to do so throughout the weekend.

The compact Spanish roadster is the work of Tauro Sport Auto, and it was born out of the ashes of the Pontiac Solstice. It features a front-engined, rear-drive layout, with power coming from a General Motors-sourced 6.2-litre V8 engine with 440bhp that’s mated to a six-speed manual transmission.

Standard features include a limited-slip differential, independent double wishbone suspension, and adaptive dampers. A power upgrade to 650bhp is also available, as is a six-speed automatic gearbox.

Tauro wants to build up to 30 units per year, each costing around €100,000 and built to a customer’s custom specification.
