So far counted Jaguar Land Rover and Fiat-Chrysler to Waymo’s partners among the manufacturers. Honda counted also times, but has to General Motors, respectively Cruise Automation, changed over. The reason for this lies in access to technology. The cooperation partners deliver or develop their vehicles together with Waymo.

Now with the alliance 2022 three more could be added. However, one denied the development that manufacturers Renault, Nissan and Mitsubishi have now allied with Waymo. The goal of the association is to be the development of robotic taxis and services in the field of autonomous driving.

More details will be announced later this spring. That implies a plan for the common approach. Already it is known that one wants to convert Nissan vehicles to robot taxis. It’s about that Infotainment system, But whether to look into the source code of Waymos vehicle technology because of the new cooperation efforts remains to be seen. Probably not. Waymo wanted the report from the newspaper Nikkei do not comment. The Alliance denied the report. One would not have announced anything, such a spokesman for the manufacturer alliance.
