By transforming the fastest lightweight street legal car Donkervoort ever designed into a designated track monster. The new Donkervoort D8 GTO-R will not be street legal. Making the car loud, fast and challenging. The ultimate machine for those who want to experience what ‘driving on the limit’ really means. Taking life to another level. Driving the car where it belongs. Finding out on their own or with other Donkervoort drivers through the Donkervoort driver programs. The Donkervoort D8 GTO-R is the key to it all.
In late 2016 Donkervoort announced the birth of the GTO-R by presenting it as a FIA certified closed racecar to compete in several racing series. However it quickly became clear that future Donkervoort GTO-R drivers were more interested in a full prepped trackday tool instead of a FIA approved racing car.
