STUTTGART (GERMANY), 21 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Mercedes-Benz has started the production of the second generation of the CLA Coupé in its Hungarian plant of Kecskemét, after its world presentation at the last edition of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas (United States).
The manufacturing of the new CLA Coupé will be concentrated exclusively in Hungary, where it also assembles the CLA, in its conventional variants and Shooting Brake and Class A, the company said in a statement.
“For more than five years, the CLA has had a very special importance for our team: more than 750,000 CLA and CLA Shooting Brake first generation have already left our production lines in Kecskemét”, said the CEO of Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary, Markus Schäfer.
The new Mercedes-Benz CLA Coupé will hit the market in May this year with diesel and gasoline engines, manual or dual clutch and 4MATIC all-wheel drive.
It will offer an assistant for the interior MBUX, which is able to interpret the movements of the hands to recognize the needs of the occupants. It is also equipped with augmented reality navigation functions, understanding of indirect voice commands, and the Energizing Coach system, which transmits personalized recommendations.
