The Volkswagen Group is developing its digital cockpit with the EB GUIDE from Elektrobit.
For the development of the digital instruments intervenes Volkswagen on the development platform EB GUIDE from Elektrobit back. The HMI design is installed in the manufacturer’s e-vehicles.
The EB GUIDE concept allows you to quickly and easily redesign instrument displays. In addition to visual displays, it is also possible to integrate haptics, acoustics and gestures. The HMI Framework in the form of the EB GUIDE also implements 3D functions.
This is the development platform of Elektrobit, a subsidiary of Continental, the most comprehensive software solution for HMI design. In addition, according to the head of VW HMI system development Gunnar Wegner, it fits perfectly into the development process at Volkswagen.
One of the advantages of the software is that it can be used in all phases of development – be it modeling, prototyping or simulation and actual deployment. The graphical interface eliminates coding, which saves time and money – especially for revisions.
