The Aragonese automobile factory will export the Citroën C3 Aircross in the coming months.
Vehicle exports continue to be one of the main drivers of the automotive sector in Spain and the world. The Spanish factories have, for the most part, a great export experience worldwide. The Opel plant in Zaragoza has taken another step in this market in recent days.
The PSA factory in the Aragonese community has started shipping vehicles to the Japanese market. This type of operations are already common in the group since the first 150 units of the Compact Citroen C3 Aircross SUV for the Japanese market left Figueruelas at the end of May.
The PSA forecasts is that during the next months exports continue and until the end of the year they expect to produce more than 1200 units for this market, full of possibilities for this segment.
Exports are a great pillar within the Zaragoza factory. In the first five months of years, 88% of its total production has been exported abroad. Currently, the factory is responsible for manufacturing for the Opel brand (the Corsa, Mokka X and the Crossland X) and for the Citroën brand, the C3 Aircross Compact SUV.
“The quality of the vehicles manufactured in Zaragoza has made it possible to respond to the demands of the Japanese market. We will continue working to provide our customers around the world with the best cars in terms of quality, performance and efficiency “, said the Director of the Iberian Cluster and the Zaragoza plant of Groupe PSA, Juan Muñoz.
