FCA uses Transatel for networking

The manufacturer Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) networks its vehicles using Transatel.

Just got it Mobileye announces that you are working together with Orange on networking. Well there Fiat Chrysler (FCA) known that one puts on Transatel. The company has been working together well for about a year.

Transatel is part of the NTT Group and will ensure the future networking of Fiat-Chrysler vehicles. As a result, the FCA models will now have a local mobile service provider in 28 countries.

FCA wants to expand its ecosystem and its vehicles with the mobile 4G supply. As soon as 5G is available, there should be a change on it. The vehicles from FCA receive their own from the factory eSIM, which brings in the mobile can dial.

Networking allows Fiat Chrysler to offer a range of services. In addition to infotainment data, this also includes updating the software via OTA (Over The Air). Also the prescribed eCall will be able to act on it. For fleet operators and insurances, accurate billing models can be implemented.
