FJ Chalke Limited will open a multi-million pound Kia and Nissan eco-dealership at Fusion Park, Yeovil in November.
The new state of the art showroom will have space for up to 20 display vehicles and 150 vehicles on the external forecourt.
The site also features 10 charging points.
The showroom has been fitted with a rain water harvesting system that will collect rain from the roof.
This will result in a saving of 425 cubic metres of water each year, which is in excess of that used by three average UK households annually.
Ultimately, the system will reduce the impact on the environment and reliance on mains water.
Steve Fowler, director at FJ Chalke Kia, said: “We’re really excited about our brand-new Yeovil showroom and its anticipated opening next month.
“We’ve been overwhelmed with the response from the local community and the number of job applications has far outweighed our expectations.
“This has been a really exciting project for us, from the investment in the area to taking care of our carbon footprint. We are every bit as concerned about looking after the environment as our customers are.
“In a fast-evolving industry, it was crucial that our Yeovil Showroom had the lowest impact on the environment as possible, but still provided our customers with the best quality facilities.
“The showroom has been fitted with a number of eco-friendly features, from low energy lighting to the highest thermal efficiency rating, reducing our carbon footprint even further.”
The family-run business, celebrating its 90th anniversary this year, first opened its doors in Mere, Wiltshire in 1929 and now has sites in Yeovil, Wincanton and Gillingham.
