Sytner has sold four of its Volkswagen dealerships to Johnsons Volkswagen.
The sites are located in Liverpool, Stafford, Stoke-on-Trent and Warrington.
The ex-Sytner dealerships will join Johnsons’ existing showrooms in Birmingham, Birmingham Bullring, Solihull, Sutton Coldfield, Tamworth and Willenhall.
Sytner Group achieved a profit before tax of £113,266,000 in 2018, up 14.27% on 2017. It attributed this to its expansion into car supermarkets, through both organic growth and the acquisition of the Car People Limited.
The group plans to further invest and expand in this area, as profits and trading in the new car market decline.
Sytner is currently ranked 1st on the Motor Trader Top 200, with a 2017 turnover of £5.7bn.
