TÜV Rheinland has certified the QNX Hypervisor 2.0 to ISO 26262 ASIL D.
The German TÜV is popular and so get tech companies regularly a TÜV for their products. So Nvidia has a MOT for his Xavier chip brought or Samsung has his car parts get certified. Also the company belonging to BlackBerry QNX, which moves in the field of autonomous driving, has now had a product certified by the TÜV.
This is the QNX Hypervisor 2.0 chip for increasing the Cyber security in the field of virtual component management. In this way, one secures separation of the operating system from the security-relevant units. The product is used by the manufacturers for the assistance systems, the networking modules, the instrument panel or the infotainment system.
The TÜV Rheinland has the QNX hypervisor 2.0 according to the ISO 26262 certified to ASIL D This corresponds to the highest security level. The development will be presented at CES 2020 in Las Vegas.
