Simonstone Motor Company’s Bristol dealership has stopped trading.
The site is a multi-brand car dealership on Bath Road, Brislington, representing Alfa Romeo, Abarth, Fiat and Jeep.
Bristol Live reported that vehicles for sale have been taken away to other dealerships.
The publication claims that a number of customers awaiting new cars are now unsure where their vehicles are, and whether they will receive them.
2019 has seen a number of dealership closures, notably with Pendragon closing 22 Car Store sites.
As it continues to restructure the business after a tough first half it delivered higher Q3 underlying pre-tax profits of £3m compared to £1.1m last time with like-for-like revenues down -3.6% (-8% total)
“While the improved performance during the period is encouraging, we continue to expect economic and market conditions to be challenging, with the ongoing uncertainty around Brexit impacting consumer confidence. The full-year underlying loss before tax remains in line with the Board’s expectations,” it said.
Group like-for-like new revenue grew by 11%, with like-for-like gross profit up by 2%.
