Ola Källenius
According to a report, the Daimler boss believes that the changes in the automotive industry will lead to “emotional negotiations”.
Berlin Daimler boss Ola Källenius has no hope of an early improvement in the situation in the automotive industry. “It is not an economic crisis where the markets will turn up again in two or three years,” said Källenius of the “Bild am Sonntag” according to a preliminary report.
“We are currently fundamentally changing the automotive industry, so we are also changing this company,” he explained. One has to honestly say to people: “There will be no further way. That will certainly lead to emotional negotiations. “
The automotive industry is changing, among other things because of the switch to electric cars. Daimler has announced savings of 1.4 billion euros in personnel costs by 2022. The industry expects a multi-year losing streak in Germany.
More: Daimler builds its electric drives itself. This is good news for the employees. But elsewhere, the vertical integration must decrease. A comment,
