The Chinese provider of lidar systems RoboSense has announced the marketing of its solid-state lidar.
The Chinese company RoboSense produces lidar systems and is particularly successful because of the price. In this way, the company also has the market leader Velodyne a blow in China added.
The company has now announced the market launch of the solid state lidar RS-LiDAR-M1Simple. The price is $ 1,898 and it measures 110mm x 50mm x 120mm. It is smaller than its predecessor and has better performance. But there are lidar companies and Aeva has one recently lidar introduced, which should only cost $ 500, fits on a chip and can look up to 300 meters away. RoboSense reaches 150 meters.
The Chinese provider is also currently on the CES where to present the RS-LiDAR-M1Smart (Smart Sensor Version), which is installed in a vehicle and on the streets of Las Vegas wrong. Both have in common that they have 125 laser beams and cover a field of view of 120 degrees by 25 degrees. The laser ranks in the 905 nm range.
