Looks like the McLaren Senna will be getting a new rival from Denmark.
Danish automaker Zenvo has been teasing something special for this year’s Geneva Motor Show. Following the reveal of the TS1 GT and TSR, which are both based on the original ST1, a third car will be joining the Zenvo Twin Supercharged family. Details are still scarce for now, but the mystery hardcore hypercar now has a name: the TSR-S. As the name suggests, Zenvo has confirmed it will be a street-legal version of the insane track-only TSR, which will be on display at Geneva next week.
A couple of new teaser images have been released, including a close-up of the leather upholstery with the TSR-S name embroided, and a shot of the high gloss carbon fiber body panels with a bespoke watermark finish unique to Zenvo and applied for the first time on the TSR-S. No other information has been revealed but being part of the TS family means that the TSR-S will be powered by a twin-supercharged powertrain. In the TS1 GT, the 5.8-liter V8 engine produces 1,102 hp and 840lb-ft of torque, so we’re expecting the TSR-S to have at least 1,000 horsepower on tap. To give you an idea of its potential performance, the Zenvo TS1 GT can sprint from 0-62 mph in 2.8 seconds.
Top speed is electronically-limited to 233 mph. Revealed as a concept in 2016, the TSR is also equipped with an array of aerodynamic enhancements such as a huge front splitter and rear wing, so it will be interesting to see how Zenvo adapts the track monster for road use. Zenvo’s CEO Angela Kashina expects “the most demanding of hypercar enthusiasts to be delighted” with the TSR-S. It’s already sounding like the Danish equivalent of the mighty McLaren Senna.
