Pendragon has submitted a hybrid planning permission application to Rushcliffe Borough Council for a new Porsche Centre dealership, complete with pub/restaurant and senior living accommodation.
The application reads: “The public house would host a restaurant and function areas comprised over 2-storeys with outdoor amenity wrapping around the building.
“The senior living accommodation is envisaged as a 3-storey building, which addresses the Melton Road frontage, providing a prominent and strong visual frontage as seen from Melton Road and the estate road.”
The dealership itself will incorporate the brand’s corporate identity, also known as ‘Destination Porsche’.
The original prototype retail concept was revealed in early 2019 in Palm Springs, USA.
The first European facility to follow this design is currently under construction in Dortmund, Germany.
The proposed design for the new facility in Nottingham is part of the global roll out of the new Porsche concept.
The development will make use of brownfield land and will also, the application states, assist in supporting and delivering the community hub necessary to make this fast-growing location a fully sustainable development.
Pendragon’s also recently announced that its premium arm Stratstone is to open a new Porsche dealership in Stockport.
The dealer group already represents the brand in Wilmslow, Bolton, Nottingham, Wolverhampton and Sutton Coldfield.
Porsche is increasing the footprint of its dealer network as the manufacturer looks ahead to the arrival of the all-electric vehicle, the Taycan, later this year.
The new centre, to be located just off the M60, is set to open in May. Stratstone is currently recruiting for staff.
