The city of Wiesbaden is now also running a test run with an autonomous e-shuttle called Wilma.
People should have the opportunity to deal with technology. The Shuttle Wilma operates on the campus of the Helios Clinic in Wiesbaden, which means that it can be used in the public transport to be checked.
It is the first vehicle of its kind in the city in Hesse. Also in Mainz such vehicles were already operating on the other side of the Rhine. The route on the campus of the hospital in Wiesbaden measures just 300 meters and the service is still available by the end of the month.
There is also a so-called operator on board the vehicle Wilma in Wiesbaden, who can control the vehicle if necessary using a joystick. The model CUBE of Continental and EasyMile only drives 15 kilometers per hour. The operator is the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund (RMV), according to the FAZ, which also operates the autonomous vehicles Frankfurt provides.
