Glyn Hopkin has opened a new official franchised Kia dealership in Romford.
The Kia dealership is a first for the group, which takes its brand count to 13.
Fraser Cohen, managing director of Glyn Hopkin, said: “Kia is a progressive and highly respected brand in the UK, and this appointment marks an important development for Glyn Hopkin and our own strategic growth plans.
“We look forward to building our relationship with the Kia brand and exploring potential future opportunities.”
Glyn Hopkin also recently invested £1m in a flagship centre in Romford, Essex, to house the Fiat Chrysler Automobile (FCA) brands under one roof.
The facility is the first of its kind in the UK and offers 300 sq m of display space for the vehicles.
The showroom combines new virtual reality (VR) technology with physical demonstrators.
Electric car charge points also ensure that the site is ready for the introduction of the first electric and plug-in hybrid models from FCA.
Lee Titchner, FCA UK network development director, said: “This is the first time that one of our retailers has combined all of the FCA brands under one roof with this new showroom concept and visual identity.
“With a wide variety of products and a need to make sure that they are perfectly suited to their owner, Glyn Hopkin have used an innovative VR approach to meet customers growing expectations.”
