Volvo: recall due to AEB

The manufacturer Volvo is recalling vehicles because of the autonomous emergency brake.

Assistance systems can also have problems and so the manufacturer calls Volvo 736,430 models back worldwide. The autonomous emergency brake (AEB) should not work correctly. In certain situations, it does not brake as it should.

But there is no security risk, the manufacturer said on Friday. Corresponding accident reports are also not available. The conventional brake is not affected either, according to a spokesman for Volvo.

58,600 vehicles are affected in Germany and 66,700 in Sweden. It affects the models of the years of construction 2019 and 2020, namely S60, S90, V60, V60CC, V90, V90CC, XC40, XC60, and XC90.
