Coronavirus: Waymo is partially stopping its service

Waymo has severely restricted its service due to the corona virus pandemic.

The pandemic with the infectious virus is a blessing and a blessing for autonomous driving. Waymo already announced that the vehicles would be strengthened clean. Now the industry leader has also announced that it is partially discontinuing the Waymo One robot taxi service. The part of the vehicles that were equipped with on-board personnel were withdrawn from traffic due to the risk of infection. Also the tests on autonomous driving in California have been stopped. Waymo secured financial aid for the now suspended staff.

The part of the vehicles that get by without drivers will continue to drive through the streets. Here you can also see each other, for example Lyft or About in advantage. How many trips you still have to do remains open. The number is limited, however, as only people from the early rider program have participated so far.
